Sweet and Sour Peachy Chicken

Sweet and Sour Peachy Chicken

Many years ago I found this chicken recipe that looked intriguing. It had many things about it I liked, but some I didn't, so after several years of adding my own ideas, this is what has become one of my most famous dishes. I entertained guests for many occasions and always had compliments for its uniqueness.

Utensils:

Frying Pan
Large Pot with Lid
Tongs
Large Mixing Bowl
Measuring Cups
Measuring Spoons
Wooden Spoon

Ingredients:

Cut-up chicken (brown while mixing sauce) I have also used 5 skinless breasts, or legs

Sauce:

1 c. ketchup
½ c. celery, chopped
½ c. onion, chopped
1 tsp. Worcestershire Sauce
1 large can sliced peaches & ½ c. juice
¼ c. brown sugar
¼ c. white vinegar
1 ½ tsp. soy sauce
Salt & Pepper to taste

Method:

In a larger pot place browned chicken pieces. Pour sauce over. Cover and simmer for 1 ½ to 2 hours.
Serve with Oven Chinese Rice or with mashed potatoes.
